Robotics Fundamentals & Grasp2000 TX Released

October, 2002

Based on their renowned Grasp2000 robotics simulation software, BYG Systems have developed two new software packages to assist in teaching robotics within Schools and Colleges.

Robotics Fundamentals and Grasp2000 TX have been specifically designed to provide students with an understanding of robotics and their application in real life situations. The software has been created to reduce the amount of teacher preparation required and the user-friendly interfaces allow students to quickly familiarise themselves with the packages.

Robotics Fundamentals takes the student through the basics of Robotics, from identifying the parts of the robot to their applications and safety issues. The web based browser ensures it is very easy to navigate and there is an assessment at the end to test student understanding.

Grasp2000 TX allows students to play simulations of the most common robotic applications and types of robots. Students are able to alter the speeds and views of the models to further explore the demonstrations and exercises are included allowing students to try programming a robot.

The software will be available from the UK’s leading Educational distributors from January 2003 and in the meantime can be purchased from BYG Systems directly.
